It seems that Shaw has decided they want to meter the internet, this is a slippery slope given the ever increasing dependancy of our economy and lives on the internet. It wouldn't be so bad but companies like Shaw pay pennies to deliver the internet to our homes and businesses and charge as a fair amount for that service. The question is will Canadians sit back and allow them to do this? When Bell proposed the same thing a few months ago there was a firestorm of protest and they backed off.

I will leave you to make up your mind on whether the internet should be metered, I have my opinion and you will have yours, the bottom line will always be that the corporations will end up making more profits and we will pay more, just how much more will be decided by how we respond to what they propose.
