Summer

In BC we haven't really "had summer start" the weather has been overcast, a little chilly and wet. If you listen to people they talk about summer having not started.

It got me thinking what constitutes summer starting anyway, is it a date on the calendar, when it is sunny for seven days straight, when the kids finish school or something else?

Let me know what you think constitutes the start of summer by leaving a comment. I will put everyone who leaves a comment in to a random draw to win a stick of deodorant of my choosing to be used when summer actually starts.

One comment per person, contest closes July 15th at noon PST. The winner will be drawn using a random number generator & notified by email.

  1. I don't have an interesting answer but it's true nonetheless. The start of summer for me is the longest day of the year. I like watching the sun set later and later each day until finally we get to the longest. It's so exciting to reach that point, I don't know why.
