At that the crowd chuckled, but it made me think, shouldn't we all be humbly assisting others to meet their needs? Shouldn't we all be serving others without worrying about "what's in it for me?" being a servant and being humble shouldn't be looked down on as lesser things, they should be seen for what they are, a selfless act to help others before ourselves.
It reminded me of how my wife serves our family, selflessly, putting our needs before hers, isn't that what most mums and wives display on a daily basis? making meals, doing laundry, just taking care of things quietly and efficiently without caring about what is in it for them.
I finished watching the keynote speech reminded of how I need to continue to strive to be humble, to put others first and that by doing that my actions will make a small difference in the lives of those around me. Striving to be humble is just another opportunity on this journey called life...
