is missing from today's announcement, dreaming of what is to come.
What does that say about us as a society, can we not be content for a month, week or day with what we have, do we have to move on to the next thing so quickly without savouring the here and now.
If we focus so quickly on what else is to come do we not miss the opportunity to really enjoy what is here today?
I would challenge you to pause, to enjoy what you have today because for all you know it could be gone tomorrow...

The crazy thing is that basically in all the arguments everyone's been making, the only real difference between what people have been wishing for in an "iPhone 5" and "iPhone 4S" is whether the shell will be different than the iPhone 4. I kinda wish they named the new one "5" just to rub it in everyone's faces that the name doesn't have to be dictated by the physical appearance. There are very significant improvements over the iPhone 4, so the thought of people shrugging it off because it's "only a 4S" is disappointing, like the people who were genuinely mad because the iPad 2 didn't have a higher resolution display.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I personally found really interesting is that they're keeping the 3GS in the lineup, so now they have three different models catering to different budgets which will really boost their marketshare. Not to mention that the case manufactures will enjoy still selling their old cases!
You make some great points Mike & I agree, it's really what's in it that matters.
