What do you leave?

I was again reminded of the question "what will I leave behind" when the day comes and I die and go to be with Jesus as a brother in Christ went home this week.

What do you want to be remembered for? The stuff you have gathered during your time here on earth? Or the legacy of the way you lived your life?

The thing is with stuff is that it breaks, is taken for granted, causes arguments and has a useful life. Compare that against living your life in a selfless way, serving others, helping people, being positive and encouraging all around you to be the very best they can be.

The latter is the way I want to be remembered, I want my family to not only remember me that way but to also live that way so that in a small way each of us can make a difference in the world. Living life that way can become contagious and not only change people's lives but also last a whole lot longer as a legacy than any stuff...
