With today's announcement of the Apple media event next week the rumour mill has gone into high gear, or should I say overdrive as it's been in high gear for a while now. With it only days away I couldn't help but think how much a ticket tout/scalper/ticket reseller would get if they could resell a ticket to the event.
What do you think they could get for a ticket, $100, $500 or more?
Hmm, I don't know. Since it's just a product unveiling and the exact same presentation will be online for viewing later on in the day if they follow their usual pattern, I think only the most diehard fans would actually pay to go see it live, or perhaps journalists/bloggers who didn't get invited. I'd love to have the chance to be among the first to see the new iPhone but I wouldn't actually pay for the privilege. But then again, I may be biased in that I personally wouldn't even consider paying more than maybe $10 to see a concert...
ReplyDeleteBut in any case, no matter what the new iPhone ends up being like I'm going to get one first chance I get! Maybe I'll luck out and get one on release day like I did with my iPad 2. :)
I have to agree, I wouldn't pay either. But people pay crazy money for far less things in my opinion. It's a crazy world we live in. I hope you luck out and get your iPhone on the first day, that would be awesome!
